SpeedGauge introduces Driver Center, empowering drivers to reduce risky driving and improve safety
Goal-oriented dashboard offers insights that help drivers monitor and maintain safe-driving habits
May 9, 2022 – San Francisco, CA – SpeedGauge has introduced Driver Center, a safe-driving solution to help manage risks associated with commercial vehicle-related accidents and injuries, and better manage insurance costs.
Using driving data from onboard telematics devices, ELDs and connected cameras, SpeedGauge’s innovative driver engagement service brings driving behavior and safety performance front and center. Fleet managers and drivers have access to drivers’ progress toward individual and overall fleet safe-driving goals.
“While focusing on drivers, this solution is a great tool to help managers easily engage and support drivers in their improvement goals,” notes SpeedGauge CEO Jonathan Hubbard. “The result is greater driver engagement and accountability, while also reducing the manager’s workload through automated delivery of performance trend information.”
The Driver Center helps drivers understand and reduce speeding, the number one contributor to fuel waste and losses from collisions. Drivers receive virtual badges for achieving company and fleet goals in reducing the number of speeding incidents as well as meeting personal goals for incident reduction. They also see how their speeding percentages are trending, helping them maintain their focus on driving safety.
“Driver Center is a natural out-growth of our industry-shaping SpeedGauge Safety Center, which has aided hundreds of trucking and service business fleet operators in reducing driving risk, improving fuel efficiency and lowering losses from collisions,” Hubbard said.
“Involving drivers in the effort is the key to raising a company’s safety profile, and the Driver Center does just that. Speeding incident information and safe-driving trend data is transparent to both the driver and the supervisor/manager. It’s a great tool for drivers to improve performance and a valuable means of recognizing and rewarding drivers for a job well done,” he added.
The Driver Center is accessible through a driver portal or through an app (iOS and Android versions available).
