Telematics and analytics are having an impact across the transportation sector. Fleets large and small use telematics to optimize operations, save fuel and reduce maintenance expenses. Drivers and supervisors use telematics-based data to document safe driving performance and improvement. Meanwhile, insurers are turning to telematics-derived driving data to benchmark fleet and driver risk, promote risk reduction efforts, more accurately rate and price commercial auto policies, and reduce claims and losses.
