SpeedGauge Announces Certified Expert Program

April 29, 2021 — SpeedGauge, an international leader in driver safety and performance solutions, announced the launch of its Certified Expert Program, an online course to help safety professionals leverage the SpeedGauge Safety Center® to bring fundamental and lasting change to commercial fleet driving habits.

SpeedGauge software solutions help fleets manage and control vehicle speed—the number one factor affecting safety and fuel economy. The company’s flagship service, the SpeedGauge Safety Center, is delivered in partnership with leading vehicle-tracking companies across the globe, with reports provided on hundreds of thousands of vehicles every day.

The Certified Expert Program trains independent safety consultants and insurance loss control specialists in the best uses of the Safety Center, providing deeper insights into their clients’ safety culture and risks.

The Safety Center can motivate drivers, empower managers and provide accountability for executives. Using the Safety Center, fleets select a mix of alerts, reports, charts, maps and other analytics based on vehicle speed, to inform drivers and managers of when, where and how vehicles are driven.

A cross-platform solution, the Safety Center provides a standardized approach to driving safety improvement that safety consultants and insurance loss control managers can use with all their clients across different telematics platforms. That’s why Safety Center is so valuable, because it works across whatever system the client has.

“The Certified Expert Program will provide detailed training in how to optimize our Safety Center so safety professionals can become power users and help clients get the most out of their Safety Center subscription, which in turn, will lead to safer driving habits for their fleets,” said Jonathan Hubbard, SpeedGauge CEO.

The Certified Expert Program combines a self-paced online course and one-on-one discussion with SpeedGauge staff to enable participant users to become familiar with the tools and features of the Safety Center and thereby maximize its effectiveness. The program takes approximately four hours to complete.

“In this time of COVID-19, when there are fewer face-to-face meetings, tools such as the Safety Center which help safety professionals remotely monitor and assist their clients are more important than ever,” said Hubbard. “The Certified Expert Program gives independent safety professionals the tools, training and resources they need to monitor their clients’ performance and to assist them in improving driving habits among their employees.”
